ACCEPTANCE OF RISK AND RELEASE
R Backway trading as the Lake Eyre Yacht Club (the Club) advises that any voluntary entry into the Regatta area in this remote environment,
including sailing, is not without some risk and that I as a participant am willing to assume that risk.
I, by pressing the ACCEPT button below, understand and accept:
- that while the Club will make all reasonable efforts to ensure the Lake Eyre Yacht Club Regatta (the Regatta) and expeditions are conducted
in a safe and responsible manner, the Club assumes no responsibility for illness, personal injury, loss or damage to boat and other equipment, civil arrest or death; and
- that all activities (including camping, sailing, hiking and interaction with others) at the Regatta are at my own personal risk; and
- that I am responsible to ensure that my boat and my operation of it comply with South Australian marine safety requirements; and
- I agree that I am personally responsible for other persons I have brought onto the Regatta site and persons who may be boating with me; and
- that there are inherent dangers in remote area sailing and I assume all risk and responsibility for my personal safety or loss or damage to property.
- I release and discharge the Lake Eyre Yacht Club, leaseholders of Etadunna Pastoral Lease (Leaseholder) and their employees and volunteers from any liability
for all risks during the course of the Regatta.
I, as indicated by my pressing the ACCEPT button below acknowledge I have read and understood the preceding paragraphs with respect to my acceptance
of risk and release of liability in favour of the Club and Leaseholder. Furthermore, I acknowledge that I have shown this waiver, either as this screen or
in the printable form to those persons accompanying me onto the Regatta site, and made them aware of the paragraphs contained within.
