Our democratic process is being corrupted by Members of Parliament being more concerned with the needs of their sponsors than their constituents.
The Lake Eyre Yacht Club believes that MPs should be held to account when they make decisions that are clearly not favourable to the majority.
A letter has been sent to every member of the House of Assembly asking them to indicate if they AGREE or DISAGREE with the proposed management plan for Kati Thanda - Lake Eyre National Park. Their answers will be added to the following tables.
To give them some encouragement we ask that you email your local member and let them know your feelings on the proposal to prohibit entry into, and recreation within, a National Park.
Should the beliefs of one culture prevent the rest of our multicultural society from enjoying the beauty of this park?
Tip: If you include your name and address as proof that you are a constituent of your local MP your corresspondence will be more likely read and responded to.
