All bolts are stainless steel with Nylock nuts and all screws stainless unless otherwise noted. I find “Bolt Bars” or fastener specialist shops are much cheaper than marine stores, especially when buying in low volumes and paying cash. Bolt bars also sell stainless saddles at far less than a marine store. In the diagrams stainless steel components are normally coloured red.

PVC pipe and fittings are cheaper at a PVC plumbing specialist.

Plywood was sourced from Australian Plywoods, Clayton, Victoria who are much cheaper than Bunnings.

The few yacht fittings required and ropes are cheaper at a national store such as Whitworth Marine.
