In 2012 The regatta was shifted to Lake Killalpaninna as Lake Killamperpunna had almost dried. Killalpaninna was smaller but at 7m much deeper with the camp on the very beautiful inlet channel. With lovely weather and winds strengthening during the week much sailing fun was had. The "African Queen Race" up the inlet channel provided a lot of fun and entertainment as yachts coped with shallow water, hidden sand banks and numerous trees.
